9 monhts, posted a little late!

So Sawyer is just getting bigger and bigger. He turned 9 months about a week and a half ago. More and more he is showing his stubborn side. We are already having control battles especially when it comes to eating, diaper or clothes changing, getting washed with soap in the bath, and going to sleep. The list goes on and on though! For being so small he sure already has big opinions! He is starting to understand some words and signs. He will even sign dog, more, and eat. The only one he consistently signs though is dog. Anytime one of the dogs (we have two now) come in he signs dog. He is a little slow though because when the cat comes in he still signs dog. :)
His first tooth finally reappeared for good on June 7. It was the same week he got roseola for the second time in a month. And on June 25 his second tooth popped out.
He still can't crawl or anything like that. He tries really rally hard and I'm pretty sure he would be zooming all over the place if it wasn't for his little cast. It's a blessing and prayer answered in very sad/pathetic way. I wished and wished he wouldn't be crawling and moving all around until our basement was all finished and the family room turned photo studio was finished. Well, it came true all because he broke his leg...sorry buddy, I promise I didn't let you fall on purpose even though it might seem like it!
Things Sawyer loves this past month have been playing with the dogs. He even got really mad when Dosh decided to stop playing and jumped in my lap to cuddle. Sawyer immediately screamed and tried to push him off my lap. He stopped screaming as soon as I picked up the dog toy and waited patiently for me to throw it. He also has enjoyed walks and hikes. He loves playing with Daddy and Dad's hats. He loves books more and more. He even is starting to have favorite books. His all time favorites are "I love you more" by Laura Duksta and "I'll love you forever" by Robert Munsch. He still love singing time. He loves to dance to music. He will bob up and down as soon as any song comes on. He has even started trying to sing with me while we sing our night time songs. He still loves the piano and my little children's percussion instruments. He loves puppets. And lastly, he loves pulling anything out of drawers or buckets or boxes, etc. Oh and he loves going after computer wires and extension cords, which is one reason I'm happy he can't crawl around yet!
So for a quick run down of our last monthly activities that Sawyer was so helpful for: geneology, dejunking for our house rearrangement, picking out a new dog, taking care of new dog who was sick, planting our first veggie garden, and just being so darn cute!

Helping clean turn the office into a piano room

The day Sawyer decided I am not allowed to feed him...He wants to do it himself!
