catching up...Outside (9/11-11/11)

September and October were crazy, busy months. We enjoyed the warm weather until the first of November. Which means we played outside a LOT!
Our outside consisted of:
  • playing ball
  • riding bikes/wiggle cars/scooters around the block while collecting rocks, leaves and flowers. Then Sawyer would arrange them into a bouquet or put them in a bag.
  • learning about seeds and planting them in the dirt (apple and bean seeds)
  • digging in dirt
  • splashing in puddles
  • playing with neighbor kids when they got home from school. (Sawyer is a popular little dude. Even at church he walks down the hall and all the little kids say "Hi Sawyer!")
  • jumping and raking up leaves
  • helping find sticks for "Daddy's fort"
Then once the snow hit, only once, he learned to make snowballs and has been asking for more snow since. He has been drawing many many many pictures of snowballs and snowman. He shows them to me and then tells me that "Daddy, help me make big snowmans, next snow." So, Jake has been well informed that the next time it snows, he gets to make a snowman for Sawyer. :)
