Obsessions

So Sawyer has always been in love with bikes and motorcycles, but it has recently become an obsession. Every day all day he says, "I want that! Please!!!" so desperately as he either signs "bike" or points to anything on two or three wheels. His obsession has seemed to multiply since Jake and I took our trip to Boston. He stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Meakin and got to go bike riding with Grandpa. They even took him to a bike store to buy a helmet and he chose a yellow one with cats on it (not a surprise because he also is obsessed with cats and the color yellow. Every time he sees something that is the color yellow he yells "like Dad!!! Dad!!!" because Jake has a yellow car which Sawyer also LOVES!)
His obsession has got to the point where anytime we are outside and there are ANY children with the scooters, bikes, trikes, skateboards, etc...he cries and cries when he can't ride them. We are so blessed to have really sweet little children in the neighborhood and several of them have let him have a turn on their stuff. But, I finally broke down and decided to get him one after a playdate with Ollie. He got to ride Ollie's kickboard and Schwinn trike. He was in heaven and cried when we had to leave for cub scouts. He cried for a bike the rest of the night and that has been his only thought for the next 3 days. I took him over to toys r us to try some out and he was in LOVE with the children's bikes, but he was just a little to small...next year. So we tried some trikes there and then again at Target the next day. After trying out a few we decided that the best would be a Schwinn trike, so we went home and ordered it...and this is what we get...
