Well on the eve of the fourth of July, Sawyer had quite a restless night. He had been up several times before and again woke up cryin at 4:00am. I faithfully went in every time that night because he had broken out in hives at breakfast and dinner so I figured he wasn't feeling that great. Well, when I went in at 4:00 he needed a clothes and diaper change so I went to set him down on the changing blanket on the floor (I didn't turn on any lights or have my glasses on) but there was something in the way. I grabbed it to move it so I could set him down. It was of a rough cylinder like shape...then I thought this feels like Sawyer's cast...wait Sawyer your leg isnt covered in a cast! It's in my hand! There was not rips or cuts on the cast, it wasn't broken anywhere, it was still in the perfect Sawyer-leg-shape. I then asked him "Sawyer how in the WORLD did you get your cast off and leave it on the other side of the room in the middle of the night?!" his reply, "Oh don't worry Mom, I'm a magician!"
On a side note, his cast was supposed to be cut off a week from Monday. We're still waiting to see what the pediatrician says...I'm hoping he'll say, oh it's fine, I guess he'll just have a cast a week shorter than planned!
