Sawyer's Songs
One thing Sawyer loves is music. He seems to interact more as soon as I start singing, listening to my ipod, or playing the piano. There are a few times he even helps me play piano either in the sling or standing on the keys kicking away. When he is angry we sing the "Calm Down Song" from my time with Weber Human Services so he can practice his calm down steps. One thing we do in our house, Jake included, is sing songs about what we are doing or how much we love the people and animals who live here. So, of course, when baby Sawyer came to join the family we made songs up for him too. I know this is lame, but I wanted to write them down, so here's a few of our favorite made up songs all about Sawyer.
To the tune of "Hey Mickey"
"oh Sawyer you're so cute, you're so cute in that blue suit, hey
Sawyer, hey Sawyer. Oh Sawyer I love you, I love you through and
through hey Sawyer, hey Sawyer!"
To the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot"
"you're my little Sawyer small and round, I like to hold you sleeping
sound, when you get so hungry hear you shout, give me some food or you
are trout!"
To the tune of "Once There was a Snowman"
"once there was a Soyman Soyman Soyman, once there was a Soyman small
small small, he will keep on growing, growing growing, he will keep on
growing tall tall tall.
I love that little Soyman, Soyman, Soyman, I love that little Soyman,
so so much, I think it is so cute, so cute, so cute, I think it is so
cute when our noses touch"

That is so cute! I love the pictures and I am glad that we are not the only silly song singing family!
ReplyDeleteI make up songs all day long! I actually found one little tune would calm the twins down really quickly when they were little. I sang it constantly as you can imagine! You are such a cute mom! You should come visit this week!
